That reframes the whole interaction.
Do this today:
- Identify the last three no-shows this week — note when they originally booked vs. when the appointment was.
- Create a "Pull Forward List" — the five patients scheduled furthest out who you'd most want to move up.
- Next cancellation you get, call one person from that list before touching your waitlist.
- Track show rate on pulled-forward patients vs. standard waitlist fills for 30 days.
- Set a practice rule: pull-forward call happens within 30 minutes of every cancellation, no exceptions.
